Marks and Spencer has opened its biggest ever standalone food store in the market town of Godalming, Surrey. The new M&S Foodhall, spanning 22,000 square feet, opened its doors to customers at 8am on Thursday, July 16.
Located at The Wharf Retail Park, the store features a modernised layout designed to improve customer navigation. It includes wider fresh produce areas, multi-temperature zones for herbs, organic items, and fruit, a large bakery, a cheese barge, a dedicated chicken shop, and an upgraded alcohol section with a broader selection of beers, wines, and spirits. The Foodhall also houses a Mai Sushi kiosk selling award-winning freshly made sushi, sashimi, and hand-rolled dishes.
Expanded Range and Family-Friendly Features
The store offers more space for shoppers, with improved customer flow and a wider mix of essentials. In addition to the full M&S Food range, it stocks the complete Remarksable Value range, now expanded to 175 products. Customers can find goods across various designated counters, including floral and horticulture, pet food, frozen fruit, and bakery items. The family-friendly store also provides mini trolleys for children.
Investment in Larger Stores

Opening Hours
The Foodhall is open from 8am to 9pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
