Shoppers are rushing to buy M&S's £20 'stretchy' Jersey Wide Leg Trousers, which come in five autumnal colourways: wine, black, dark chocolate, caramel and dark navy.
The trousers are described on the M&S website as part of the M&S Collection, made for "effortless style and all-day comfort". The loose, wide leg cut creates a flattering silhouette, while the high elasticated waist offers a secure and comfortable fit. Made from soft jersey fabric with a hint of stretch, they are "perfect for casual days when you want to relax and look put-together with minimal effort", according to the product description.
Shopper reviews and ratings
In customer ratings, M&S shoppers have marked the trousers 4.4 out of 5. One shopper said: "A really useful addition to my wardrobe. Looks flattering, feels comfortable and goes well with many tops. Good to wear in many different places and great for travelling."
A second review read: "So comfy, and very good quality material! Ideal to wear in the transition of the seasons!" A third fan added: "Look classy. These are lovely trousers and look really classy in chocolate brown. Slighly tight to put on but once over my hips they are a perfect fit. I like that they fit on the waist and fit nice on the bum."
Alternatives and washing note
For those who prefer a drawstring waist, New Look is selling Mink Woven Wide Leg Trousers for £25.99, described as 'ideal for laid-back days'. Next has reduced Burgundy Red N. Premium Wide Leg Jersey Trousers to £11, available only in sizes L and XL at the time of writing.
Some shoppers noted trouble with washing the M&S trousers. A three-star review read: "Great fit and comfortable. However when washed (on low temp) the leg length shrunk. Lucky for me they are ok with my flat shoes."
The trousers can be purchased for £20.
