Morrisons Rolls Out Wilko DIY Aisles in UK Supermarket Overhaul

Morrisons has launched a new DIY aisle in partnership with Wilko at its Speke store in Liverpool, marking the start of a major overhaul across the supermarket chain. The move is part of an 'exciting' collaboration that will see the section introduced in over 20 locations by 2026, according to The Grocer.

The Speke branch now stocks a wide range of Wilko paint colours and finishes, including Tough and Washable emulsions for busy areas, One-Coat Gloss for quick decorating, and the Statement Walls range for modern home updates. The in-store offering also includes decorating tools, household essentials, and car care products.

A Morrisons spokesperson said: 'We are pleased to have launched our new Wilko's concession in our Speke store, marking the start of an exciting new partnership. We are looking forward to rolling this out to further stores later in the year.'

In addition to the DIY aisle, Morrisons has introduced a new Hot Cross Bun Loaf, a supersized take on the Easter favourite. Jack Nicholls, Market Street Development and Operations Manager, said: 'The Hot Cross Bun is an Easter staple... To super-size the traditional bake, we are introducing our Hot Cross Bun Loaf.'

The supermarket continues to offer classic hot cross buns, with a six-pack of fruit buns available for £0.97 and The Best range at £1.50 for four.
