Morrisons has launched a Halloween-themed competition in its More Card app, giving loyalty customers the chance to win up to one million More Points, worth £1,000 in-store.
The House of Halloween game runs daily between October 26 and 31, offering prizes including free products, store discounts, and the jackpot of one million More Points. The promotion follows the supermarket's in-app Easter competition, which awarded prizes during the countdown to that holiday.
Boosting the More Card loyalty scheme
Gareth Lloyd, marketing director for value and loyalty at Morrisons, said: "Halloween is all about surprises, so we wanted to bring a little of that magic to our More Card members this October."
Lloyd added: "The House of Halloween game makes everyday shopping even more rewarding - whether you're picking up free product treats, money off your next shop or scoring a million More Points. We can’t wait to see our customers join in the fun and uncover the perks."
More Card relaunch and growth
Morrisons has been working to grow its loyalty scheme since scrapping it in 2021 and replacing it with the My Morrisons app, which focused on instant digital money-off coupons. The change was not well received by many customers.
The grocer relaunched the More Card scheme in 2023 in response to customer demand and amid fierce competition from Tesco Clubcard and Sainsbury’s Nectar. At the end of 2025, active More Card users grew 11% to a record 8 million.
How the scheme works
Unlike most supermarket schemes that award points per pound spent, Morrisons More Card operates primarily on an item-count and fuel basis. Customers receive five points for every item purchased in-store, online, or via Morrisons Groceries on Amazon, regardless of the item's price. They also get five points per litre of fuel at Morrisons petrol stations.
Once customers reach 5,000 points, they receive a voucher worth £5 to spend in-store, meaning they must buy 1,000 items to get the deal.
