British beauty retailer Lush has launched a new bath and shower range featuring the iconic Moomin characters. Social News Assistant Editor Samantha Bartlett unboxed the collection and already has a favourite.
The Moomins: A Cultural Staple
The Moomins are a bohemian family of trolls living in harmony with nature in Moominvalley. Created by Swedish-Finnish author Tove Jansson in 1945, the stories explore themes of acceptance, environmentalism, emotional resilience, and existential crises.
Lush, known for its campaigning and support for human, animal, and planet rights, collaborated with the characters, citing a 'shared moral purpose' of championing compassion.
Product Lineup
The range includes the Moomintroll bath bomb (£5.50), featuring a coconut milk and crisp cotton scent. The Moomin Delight Soap and Body Wash (£10) offers a cloudberry glow and sugared Finnish berry fragrance.
Moominmamma's Pancake Batter Body Lotion (£12) contains coconut cream, almond oil, and vanilla. The Moominvalley Perfume (£30) has crisp, sunlit cotton notes, described as 'just like airing out clothes in the spring breeze after a long winter's sleep'.
Little My soap (£6.50) is spiced with pink pepper and citrus, while the Snufkin shower gummy (£8) features honeyed Furze fragrance with hints of coconut and sunlit fields, wrapped in compostable material.
Exclusive and Availability
The Cloudberry Body Spray (£33) is exclusively available on the Lush app and in flagship shops in Glasgow City, Liverpool, and London Oxford Street. It captures Finnish cloudberries with juicy davana and orange oil.
Bartlett noted, 'I definitely think this is going to be my favourite!' referring to the body lotion. The collection is available now on the Lush app and in stores.
