London's November calendar is packed with festive events, shopping opportunities, and cultural openings. Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November, but many retailers have already launched their sales, including Boots, Currys, Ao, and Argos. The shopping event will take place both online and in physical stores across London throughout November. Cyber Monday follows on 30 November.

Christmas Lights Switch-Ons

The city's Christmas lights illuminations mark the start of the festive season. Carnaby Street begins on 4 November with its 1990s-inspired 'Press Play on Christmas' display, followed by Regent Street's Spirit of Christmas angels on 5 November. Oxford Street gets a Harry Potter-inspired theme on 9 November, while Marylebone Village celebrates on 11 November. Covent Garden and Bond Street follow on 12 November, with Covent Garden bringing back its 50ft Christmas tree, 300,000 lights, and theatrical decorations. The Chelsea Christmas light switch-on on 19 November includes markets, live music, and food pop-ups.

Festive Hotel Trees and Collaborations

Claridge's has enlisted British designer Anya Hindmarch to create its Christmas tree, unveiled on 25 November. The traditional fir tree will take inspiration from fairytales and become a Christmas Treehouse in the hotel's lobby. The Connaught's annual tree unveiling takes place on 19 November as part of the Mount Street Neighbourhood Holiday Festival, running from 19 to 21 November. The evening celebrations begin at 6 pm, with the official switch-on at 6.30 pm.

Barbour and Farm Rio have reunited for their third collection, reimagining Barbour's heritage check, wax, and wool with Farm Rio's botanical prints. The line includes quilted outerwear, scallop-trim knitwear, and clashing print parkas. Kurt Geiger has teamed up with Paddington for a festive capsule featuring handbags, footwear, accessories, bag charms, and slippers.
