This product launch coincides with Lidl's ambitious expansion plans, which include opening over 50 new stores in the next 12 months as part of a £600 million investment. This initiative is expected to create 2,000 jobs across locations such as Abbots Langley near Watford, Warrington in Cheshire, and Thornbury in Gloucestershire, all set to open this summer.

Ryan McDonnell, chief executive of Lidl GB, emphasized the company's commitment to regional growth, stating, "We're not just opening doors, we're unlocking regional growth. Our expansion translates directly into high-quality jobs and gives British suppliers the certainty they need to invest in the future."

Enhanced Employee Benefits

In line with its growth, Lidl has announced another pay rise for its staff. Entry-level pay will increase to £13.45 per hour nationwide, rising to £14.45 with length of service. In London, new starter pay will go from £14.35 to £14.80 per hour, reaching £15.30 with tenure. This represents a further £29 million investment in its workforce.

Employment minister Kate Dearden praised the move, saying, "This kind of investment is exactly what we want to see from big employers – creating thousands of good jobs that pay fair wages and boost the standard of living in communities across the country."

With over 1,000 stores and more than 35,000 employees across Britain, Lidl continues to strengthen its presence while offering affordable solutions like the Livarno Folding Gazebo, ensuring that summer hosting remains accessible and enjoyable for all.
