Lidl's £4.99 Pumpkin Light Rivals Next's £33 Version
Lidl's £4.99 Pumpkin Light Rivals Next's £33 Version

Lidl is releasing a decorative autumnal light on Thursday, September 10, priced at £4.99, which could serve as a budget-friendly alternative to a similar £33 product sold by Next. The Light-Up Decorative Pumpkin from Lidl's Livarno line features a pumpkin-shaped design with fairy lights inside and a copper crackle effect on the outside.

The light is compact enough for a bedside table, coffee table, or shelf. Lidl's product description states: "Atmospheric lighting. Made from high-quality glass with warm white light. Six-hour timer with automatic daily repetition. Simply switch on at the desired time of day and start the timer. With long-life and energy-saving LEDs. Batteries included."

Comparison with Next's Version

Next's Lights4fun Multicoloured Amber Mercury Glass Light Up Pumpkin Decoration, priced at £33, has a similar pumpkin shape, copper crackle effect, and fairy lights. Next's description reads: "Handcrafted from glass with a mottled mercury effect finish, this amber pumpkin decoration is a showstopping centrepiece for your table this autumn! Its whimsical swirly stalk is guaranteed to add a touch of fun to your décor."

While both versions share features, differences exist beyond price. Next's pumpkin has a twisted stem, whereas Lidl's is straight, leaving design preference to shoppers.

Other Pumpkin Lights Available

For those favoring the twisted-stem design, Lidl also offers a Light-Up Decorative Pumpkin With A Curly Stem, also priced at £4.99 and available next Thursday. Two additional pumpkin-shaped lights will launch the same day: the Tall Light-Up Decorative Pumpkin and a dark brown version, each at £4.99.

All Special Buy offers can be viewed on Lidl's website in advance, but stock is only available in stores, and as Lidl notes, once it's gone, it's gone.
