Money Saving Expert (MSE), the consumer advice site founded by Martin Lewis, has issued a prediction for Lidl's Black Friday 2026 deals, including an exact start date. The team advises shoppers not to delay if they see a good price.
Predicted Start Date and Deals
On its website, under a 'Lidl Black Friday 2026 prediction', MSE said that "deals on branded electricals and homeware" are "predicted from Sunday, November 22, while stock last." The prediction follows the pattern seen in 2025, when the retailer launched its Black Friday offers on the Sunday before Black Friday, featuring brands such as Ninja, Daewoo, Silentnight and Emma.
Why Waiting May Not Pay Off
MSE warns that waiting could mean missing out. The site notes: "If you spot something you want at a good price, it may be best not to wait." Last year, Lidl removed its Black Friday banner from its website by Black Friday itself, suggesting much of the stock may already have sold out.
The team highlighted competitive prices from the previous year, including a £60 Vax vacuum (next cheapest £89) and a £249 KitchenAid stand mixer (next cheapest £280). MSE adds that Lidl does not always show a previous selling price, so shoppers should compare prices elsewhere before buying.
Black Friday 2026 Dates and MSE Advice
Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, but many retailers are expected to launch deals from around November 21, according to Blue Light Card officials, with discounts running through "Black Week" or "Black Friday Week." Cyber Monday follows on November 30, with many offers continuing through the weekend and into the next week.
In separate advice, MSE urges shoppers: "Don't get caught up in the hype. Ask yourself, do I need it? Can I afford it? If the answer's no to either, DON'T buy it. Remember, it's not a saving if you weren't going to buy it anyway."
