Lidl is set to release a classic Christmas wreath this Thursday (November 5) that closely resembles a John Lewis option priced at four times the cost. The Livarno Christmas Wreath, retailing at £5.99, will be part of the supermarket's latest Middle of Lidl refresh.
Wreath Design and Details
The wreath comes in three styles, with the classic green version featuring berries and poinsettia flowers most closely matching the higher-end design. Lidl describes it as a "stylish Christmas decoration for hanging up or using as a festive table decoration".
Measuring 35cm wide, the wreath includes a hanging loop for attaching to doors. Shoppers will need to source a hook or anchor point separately if mounting it on a door.
Comparison with John Lewis
John Lewis offers a Mini Poinsettia Christmas Wreath priced at £20, which includes "vibrant poinsettia and festive berries" in a traditional red tone surrounded by green pine-effect foliage. At 40cm wide, it is comparable in size to Lidl's version.
The main differences are the £14 price gap and the fuller appearance of Lidl's wreath, which appears to feature more floral and berry pieces in photos.
Other Lidl Christmas Products
Starting Thursday, shoppers can find a variety of Christmas items in stores, including 7ft Christmas trees (£39.99), garlands, baubles, stockings, and lights from £1.19. A second wave of decorations, including ornaments, window decorations, and candles, will arrive on Sunday, November 8.
