Lidl has launched the LIVARNO White Storage Stool for £14.99 across its roughly 1,000 stores, offering a budget alternative to higher-priced versions from B&Q and Daals.

The item, available in the rotating 'Middle of Lidl' aisle, is described by the supermarket as "comfortable" and "space-saving". It can be used as a seat, a step to reach high spots, or a small table, and fits in living rooms, bedrooms, dining spaces, and kitchens. Its white cushioned design is intended to suit a range of interior styles.

Features and specifications

The stool features a padded, removable seat, internal storage, and high stability with a maximum load of 110kg. It measures Ø31 x H41cm and comes with a 3-year warranty. More details are available on the Lidl website.

B&Q stocks the Rotonda Bouclé Kitchen Bar Stools at £49.99, more than triple the Lidl price. The B&Q version is taller at 66cm and has a different purpose. Its product description says: "The Rotonda Boucle Bar Stool at 66cm high is the perfect mix of style, comfort, and practicality."

Alternative options at higher prices

Daals offers the Amboise Round Storage Pouffe for £129.99. It is white with a cushioned look, similar to the Lidl stool, and can serve as a seat, footrest, or coffee table. It includes internal storage, ecru boucle fabric, round metal legs with matte black paint, and measures W 68 x D 68 x H 43 cm. A matching three-seater sofa and armchair are also available.
