A charity shop shopper has left social media users amazed after finding two sets of Laura Ashley curtains for a total of £25, with plans to resell them for around £250.
Chris, who regularly resells purchases on eBay and Vinted, discovered the items at his local second-hand store. The Welsh brand is known for floral prints and Victorian-inspired designs, with curtains being a popular choice among buyers.
Charity Shop Bargain
In a TikTok post, Chris explained he doesn't usually buy curtains due to the hassle of measuring them, but this set was too good to leave behind. He noted that Laura Ashley curtains sell for decent money.
The first set, which included three matching tie backs, four cushion covers, and a headboard cover, cost £20. Chris identified it as the Wisteria Duck Egg in Pistachio colour and believes it could sell for £170.
Second Set and Resale Plans
The second set, also Laura Ashley, was priced at just £5. It consisted of two matching curtains, though Chris couldn't identify the design. He plans to list these for around £80.
Chris hopes to turn his £25 investment into £250 for both lots.
Social Media Reaction
Since sharing his haul, people have expressed envy. One commented, "Great find," while another said, "I immediately knew these were Laura Ashley. The Wisteria Dark Egg and Pistachio. Exactly these have been on my bucket list since they came out 10 years ago. Love these." A third added, "Knew by looking at them they were LA."
Laura Ashley ready-made curtains typically cost between £50 and £200 per pair, depending on size and fabric.
