Lakeland has cut prices on its Dry:Soon heated clothes airers by up to £30 as autumn approaches, offering households a cheaper alternative to tumble dryers. The airers cost around 8p per hour to run based on average electricity unit costs, compared with roughly 65p for a standard tumble dryer, according to the retailer.

The most popular buy is the Dry:Soon Deluxe 3-Tier Heated Clothes Airer, reduced from £199.99 to £169.99. It offers 21 metres of drying space across 36 heated bars, enough for two loads of washing at once. The model features a front-loading design, a built-in timer that can be set from one to 12 hours, and a lightweight aluminium frame that folds down to 8cm deep for storage.
Lakeland recommends pairing the airer with a cover to speed up drying, with a cover bundle available for £214.98, down from £244.98. Smaller households can opt for the Dry:Soon Mini 3-Tier Heated Airer at £114.99, while the standard Dry:Soon 3-Tier Heated Clothes Airer is reduced to £139.99.
