KFC Airdrie Opens July 6, 65 New Jobs Created

KFC is set to open its first restaurant in Airdrie on Monday, July 6, on Carlisle Road, marking its 60th location in Scotland. The opening will create 65 local jobs, including team member, team leader, and management roles, with applications still open.

Menu and Features

The restaurant will serve KFC’s full menu, including the limited-edition Sticky BBQ Drip range. It will also be among the first in the world to feature KFC’s refreshed branding, unveiled globally last month. Additionally, it will be one of Scotland’s first outlets to offer Kwench by KFC, a new specialty drinks range, with a dedicated counter.

Dining Options and Amenities

The venue will have 70 seats for eat-in customers and four digital ordering kiosks for grab-and-go. For those on the move, there are two drive-thru windows, 24 parking spaces, and three electric vehicle charging points. Delivery will be available from day one via Just Eat, Deliveroo, and Uber Eats.

Community and Sustainability

To celebrate, the first 100 customers on opening day will receive free merchandise. Throughout the first week, visitors can try a Spin to Win wheel for prizes. The Airdrie team will conduct daily litter picks and participate in KFC’s food donation programme, redistributing surplus food via the Felix Project.

Chris Buick, area coach at KFC UK and Ireland, said: “We’re proud to be bringing KFC to Airdrie for the first time. From our famous fried chicken favourites to our limited time offers, local fans will be able to enjoy KFC right on their doorstep. As well as creating new jobs, we're looking forward to becoming part of the local community and serving Airdrie's chicken fans for years to come.”

KFC Airdrie is part of the organisation’s £1.5bn growth plan for the UK and Ireland over the next five years, announced during its 60-year celebrations.
