Kayali launches first bodycare collection with pistachio and marshmallow

Kayali, the viral fragrance brand founded by Mona Kattan, has expanded its House of Yum collection into bodycare for the first time. The new lineup includes a Silk Soufflé Body Cream and a Cashmere Kiss Lip Balm, both available in the brand's popular Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 and Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81 scents.

New bodycare products promise 24-hour hydration

The Silk Soufflé Body Cream offers up to 24 hours of hydration in a whipped, weightless texture, according to the brand. The Cashmere Kiss Lip Balm is designed as a throughout-the-day top-up for a hydration boost.

Speaking to Metro, Kattan said she decided it was time to expand the Yum collection to help fans mix and match scents to their mood and provide new ways to enjoy Kayali's world beyond the Eau de Parfums. She described the products as “something they could reach for on their skin, keep in their bag and come back to throughout the day.”

Creating the products was a labour of love

Kattan explained that creating the new products was a labour of love. “We took our time getting the products right, and there was a lot of work behind the scenes refining the formulas, testing different versions and gathering feedback; I needed the formulas to feel amazing,” she said.

Kattan, who is a personal fan of layering scents, noted that customers are invested in creating something personal through bodycare, whether worn alone or with the matching scent to amplify it. She has long been a lover of the gourmand fragrance trend, especially for their ability to “transport you somewhere instantly – they can make you feel cosy, nostalgic, sexy, carefree depending on how you layer them.”

Layering recommendations and self-love philosophy

For a sweet marshmallow mix, Kattan recommends layering the Silk Soufflé Body Cream with the co-ordinating Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81 Eau de Parfum. “But if I want something different, I’ll use that same gourmand base and layer another fragrance over it,” she said.

Her goal for the new range is for it to be treated as an act of self-love. “You don’t need a special occasion to make yourself smell delicious or to enjoy a beautiful body cream or lip product. You can create that feeling for yourself every single day,” she said.

Kattan advised adding the 81 Silk Soufflé Body Cream to a post-shower routine by taking time massaging it in for super-soft skin, noting that the whipped texture leaves no heavy or greasy feeling. The Cashmere Kiss Lip Balm can be applied as often as needed throughout the day for a high-shine, skin-softening layer of moisture.

Availability and beauty editor verdict

The new products are now available to shop at Sephora, Cult Beauty, and Space NK. The Silk Soufflé Body Cream retails for £48, and the Cashmere Kiss Lip Balm costs £23.

A Metro beauty editor tested the products, describing the body cream as “every bit as luxurious as you would expect,” with a texture between a thick cream and a whipped mousse. The editor noted that both body creams are so strongly scented they could be worn on their own without the Eau de Parfums. The lip balms were described as a favourite, with a doughnut applicator and scents that are not overpowering. The marshmallow scent has a slight pink tint that does not stain but makes lips look plump and glossy while soothing dry, chapped skin.
