The Daily Express visited Penelope Chilvers at her Notting Hill boutique, where the designer revealed the Chico Espadrilles are among the brand's best sellers. Describing the design, Penelope said: “They’re absolutely beautiful.” While the brand is renowned for its iconic boots, she explained, “we have a summer range every year,” offering timeless pieces designed to be worn season after season.
The Chico Espadrilles are crafted from sumptuous velvet, with a traditional jute sole and delicate crossover straps, creating a feminine, ballet-inspired silhouette. They are comfortable enough for everyday wear yet polished enough to style with linen dresses, tailored separates or jeans, making them a versatile addition to any summer wardrobe.
