Home Bargains shoppers have spotted the return of a limited-edition festive Coca-Cola variety on shelves ahead of Christmas, prompting excitement across social media.
The drink, called Holiday Creamy Vanilla Coca-Cola, is a seasonal version of the classic recipe known for its smooth, sweet taste, similar to a vanilla ice cream float. It is available in the UK in two varieties – Original Taste (full sugar) and Zero Sugar – and comes in 330ml cans, multi-packs, and larger 1.75L or 2L bottles.
Shoppers React to the Festive Return
Pictures of the product have drawn hundreds of likes on Instagram and Facebook, with some customers saying they would rush out to try the Christmassy recipe. One shopper wrote, "This is SO nice," while another described the drink as "lush." However, one customer was unimpressed and said they prefer the "original vanilla Coke."
While both products contain similar base ingredients, they offer different experiences. Vanilla Coke is less sweet and lets the classic taste of Coca-Cola shine through more, whereas the festive drink has less of a carbonated bite and feels more like a creamsicle texture, almost like a beverage topped with ice cream or whipped cream.
A History of Festive Flavours
Coca-Cola has occasionally put a festive spin on its classic recipe over the years, rolling out limited-edition Christmas flavours to capture the seasonal mood. In the UK, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Cinnamon delivered a warming, spiced twist when it appeared on shelves in 2018, 2019, and again in 2024.
The soft drinks giant has also experimented with different festive flavours abroad, with pear proving a popular offshoot in Sweden, while cranberry has found a strong following in the US.
