A woman has shared her amazement after picking up a Greggs mystery bag for just £3 via the Too Good To Go app, revealing contents she described as 'even better than last time'. The initiative, which aims to reduce food waste by selling surplus food at discounted prices, has become increasingly popular among savvy shoppers.
What Was Inside the Bag?
Fari, a TikTok user with over 58,500 followers, documented her haul in a video that quickly gained attention. The bag contained a Mature Cheddar Cheese Ploughmans Oval Bite, a Smoky Cajun Rice with BBQ Chicken and Sweetcorn Fritters, a Mexican Chicken Oval Bite, a fruit pot, a Tuna Crunch Baguette, and a fat-free Greek style yoghurt.
Speaking in the video, Fari said: 'Let's see exactly what £2.99 can get us via the Too Good To Go app. I managed to reserve this just hours before on the same day, I am shocked because this is even better than last time.'
Value for Money
Based on typical Greggs prices, the individual items would cost approximately £4.05-£4.40 for the Ploughmans Oval Bite, £4 for the Cajun Rice, £3.35 for the Mexican Chicken Oval Bite, £3.90 for the Tuna Crunch Baguette, £1.95 for the yoghurt, and £1.50-£2 for the fruit pot. Altogether, the haul would have cost around £19 if purchased at full price.
Fari concluded: 'I can't believe I managed to get a day's worth of food for £2.99. And more balanced choices that I'll realistically eat at home.'
