The scheme allows customers to buy surplus food that would otherwise be thrown away, at a discounted price, helping to reduce waste. Fari, who shared her haul on TikTok with her 58,500 followers, said she was 'shocked' – but in a positive way.
In the video, Fari revealed the contents of her surprise bag, which she had reserved just hours before collection on the same day. The haul included a Mature Cheddar Cheese Ploughmans Oval Bite, a Smoky Cajun Rice with BBQ Chicken and Sweetcorn Fritters, a Mexican Chicken Oval Bite, a fruit pot, a Tuna Crunch Baguette, and a fat-free Greek style yoghurt. She noted that the Mexican Chicken Oval Bite was something she had never seen before.
Fari also shared her personal take on the items, calling the Ploughmans 'the best sandwich filler' – an opinion she acknowledged might be unpopular. She described the Tuna Crunch Baguette as 'the most eaten item at Greggs', referencing a fun fact from her childhood.
