Greggs has announced it will bring back a much-loved menu item after seven years in its latest shake-up. The high street bakery is reintroducing the Steak & Stilton bake as part of its new autumn menu, launching nationwide on September 3.
What's in the Steak & Stilton Bake?
The bake contains diced beef cooked in a gravy with blue Stilton cheese and green onions, wrapped in puff pastry and topped with black pepper.
Other Items Joining the Autumn Menu
A range of other hot food, pizza, sandwiches, and sweet treats will also be rolled out, including a Buffalo Chicken Baguette and Buffalo Pizza slice. The baguette is made with buffalo chicken-style mayo, cheddar and red onion, while the pizza contains the same ingredients as toppings.
A Chicken & Pepperoni Toastie will also be available, involving chicken in a pizza-style sauce with Cheddar and pepperoni between sourdough-style white bread, finished with béchamel sauce and grated mixed cheese.
Customers wanting a sweet treat will be happy to know the Pumpkin Spice Doughnut is also returning, and a new Bonfire Toffee Muffin is joining the menu.
Drinks and App Offers
In terms of drinks, Greggs is bringing back its Pumpkin Spice Latte topped with caramel drizzle, which customers can have hot or cold. It will also introduce an Iced Caramel Chocolate, an Iced Mocha, and an Iced Chocolate as it broadens its chilled drinks.
The autumn range will be available in store and for click and collect through the Greggs app. Those using the app can earn a free item after making nine purchases, and new customers get a free drink after signing up.
