Virgin Media has reduced the price of its Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League season, offering fans a saving of £96 over the 24-month contract. The deal, which the company describes as its 'lowest ever price,' includes 516Mbps fibre broadband, a free Netflix subscription, and access to over 200 channels for approximately £1.70 a day.
Deal details and pricing
The Sport bundle has been cut from £56.99 to £52.99 per month, with the offer running until September 9 as part of a 'Summer of Sport' promotion. Customers must agree to a 24-month contract, and Virgin will cover up to £300 of early exit charges from their current TV provider.
The package includes nine Sky Sports channels, covering the Premier League, EFL, F1, golf, and more. However, Virgin has confirmed that Sport bundle customers will see prices increase to £56.99 from 2027 and £60.99 from 2028.
Other bundles in the promotion
The Sport + Cinema bundle is also reduced, from £66.99 to £62.99, adding Sky Cinema channels to the sports package. The Max Volt bundle, priced at £74.99 (down from £78.99), offers all the TV, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, and Netflix access, plus faster broadband at 1,130Mbps.
Max Volt customers also receive an O2 Classic Plan SIM with unlimited UK data, minutes, and texts, roaming in 75 destinations, and a three-month O2 Extra such as Disney+ or Amazon Prime.
Sky's own offering and customer feedback
Sky has announced it will air more than 1,500 matches this season across the Premier League, EFL, WSL, and more, included with its £35 Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle. The £44 Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle adds five free streaming subscriptions, including Netflix, HBO Max, and Disney+.
UEFA Champions League and Europa League games are not shown on Sky or terrestrial channels, with TNT Sports and HBO Max holding exclusive rights.
Customer reviews on Trustpilot are mixed. One five-star review praised Virgin's service: "Virgin have been excellent. I'm working from home and struggled initially with poor broadband. Moved to Virgin and haven't had any issues at all. My other half is also very happy because he can watch football without any frustrating buffering." Another said: "Really happy with the number of varied TV channels available. I love sports, mainly Premier League football, and am very pleased with the service providing Sky Sports. Entertainment channels have a great choice too. Haven't had too many problems with Virgin and long may it continue."
However, a three-star review noted: "The internet just switches off midway watching a film or football match, it is very frustrating." Another happy customer shared: "It's great to be able to watch most of the football being played as well as Netflix."
