Dunelm has cut the price of its Briony Traditional Washable Rug by 50% as part of the retailer's autumn sale, bringing the 115cm x 170cm size down to £24.50 from £49.
The larger 152cm x 230cm version has also been reduced, falling from £85 to £42.50. The rug is designed with family households in mind and is made from a soft fibre blend that can be cleaned in a washing machine.
Design and features
Described by the retailer as an effortless way to refresh a room, the rug introduces texture and colour while acting as a visual anchor that pulls furniture together. It is suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, conservatories and home offices.
For extra security on hard floors, laminate or tiles, an anti-slip mat is available from £5. The rug is made from polyester, making it soft, hypoallergenic and stain-resistant, though shoppers preferring natural fibres such as cotton or wool may want to consider other options.

The Briony rug has received three glowing reviews so far. One shopper said: "This rug has just finished off the look of my seating area in the lounge. Very reasonably priced and looks great."
A second wrote: "Looks better than the picture and less red. No anti-slip back but as it's under the dining the table, this is not an issue and doesn't move. We really like it."
