Dunelm has cut the price of its Buffie Coffee Table, Marble and Mango Wood to £224.50, down from £449, as part of a 50% off clearance sale. Shoppers have compared the piece to a Soho Home design that retails for £3,995, praising it as a cheaper alternative.
Design and dimensions
The Buffie Coffee Table combines cool marble with warm mango wood for what Dunelm describes as 'a standout look', featuring statement round mango wood feet. The smooth marble top is available in a choice of colours and can be styled with a tray, a stack of books or left 'beautifully bare'.
According to Dunelm, the marble's unique and varied appearance is shaped by its geological origins and the mineral impurities present during its formation, meaning colours can vary per piece. The table measures 31cm in height and 88cm in diameter.
Comparison to Soho Home
The Dunelm table is similar, albeit not identical, to Soho Home's Oxley Coffee Table, priced at £3,995. That piece is carved entirely from polished marble sourced from Spain and features a circular top with rounded feet.
For a cheaper alternative, Dusk offers the Azra Nesting Coffee Tables in black marble effect for £80, down from £199. These have smooth, pebble-shaped tops and rounded pillar legs, overlapping for a 'considered and contemporary' look, with a marble-effect finish that 'adds a touch of luxury'.

The Buffie Coffee Table has received only five-star reviews so far. One shopper said: "Absolutely fabulous table. High quality and a super premium feel; I'm so glad I got it. Similar to the Soho Home version I wanted but couldn't afford!"
A second wrote: "Beautiful item, easy to assemble and it really gives Soho Home but at the fraction of the price!" A third added: "Wow, just absolutely love this table. Everyone that sees it loves it also."
Another reviewer noted: "We love it, it's heavy and substantial, the feet (are) solid wood! Absolutely beautiful, worth every penny!" One customer commented: "The table was purchased based on instinct, given that it was new and there were no reviews. It is made in India, with Indian marble and mango wood, the quality is great. It has natural ingrains and looks highly sophisticated yet unique. The packaging of the table was good. The delivery guys were great and they put the table in the living room."

It looks just like the pictures (allowing for the marble to vary naturally - mine has slightly more of the red grain) and is easy to assemble as the balls just screw on. One shopper left feedback saying: "This table is gorgeous and very elegant and well made, looks (very) expensive. However, I ordered the beige and brown and the marble was really dark. I called the customer service, arranged and exchanged, (and) the second was also exactly the same. Just be prepared the colour of the marble won't be accurate."
