Product Details and Running Costs
Dunelm said of the heater: "Compact yet effective, this plug in PTC heater is designed to deliver targeted warmth while saving valuable floor space. Featuring a ceramic heating element, digital thermostat and easy to read LED display, it offers convenient temperature control in a compact design."
"Ideal for smaller rooms and personal spaces, it provides efficient warmth with adjustable fan speeds and built in safety protection."
The heater runs at 500W which, under the Ofgem price cap increase enforced at the start of October, means it will cost roughly 13p per hour to run continuously. For health and safety reasons, it should not be left on indefinitely, although the gadget has in-built overheating protection.
Customer Feedback
Customers have largely praised the Plug in PTC Heater, leaving positive reviews on the Dunelm website. One wrote: "We have used this great heater until we put central heating on. Great value for money, easy to operate, very smart looking."
Another said: "This micro plug in heater gives out quite a bit of heat on full, which is okay if you’re sat close to it, but it doesn’t heat a room very well. Okay for its size and to be fair, I wouldn’t expect it to heat a full room - just helps to take the chill off."
