Center Parcs has introduced a new restaurant booking fee of £5 per person for guests staying at any of its resorts, with the policy taking effect for all breaks from 16 November 2026 onwards.
In a statement on its website, Center Parcs said: "To help us provide the best possible experience for our guests and make sure our restaurants are available for as many guests as possible, all restaurant bookings now require a deposit at the time of booking. This will come into effect for all breaks starting from 16th November 2026 onwards."
The £5 per person fee applies to all eateries across the operator's five UK villages, from The Pancake House to Huck's American Bar & Grill and Indian restaurant Rajinda Pradesh.
Cancellation terms for deposits
Center Parcs said: "If your plans change, you can cancel more than 48 hours before your reservation, and we'll refund your deposit in full. If you cancel within 48 hours of your reservation, the deposit is non-refundable. Please note that restaurant bookings have their own cancellation terms, which are different from those for activity bookings."
While all restaurants accept walk-ins, pre-booking is recommended, especially during peak times such as school holidays and Christmas, as tables fill up quickly.
Recent policy changes at Center Parcs
Last year saw several changes to Center Parcs policies. The operator shifted swimming centre opening hours from 10am-9pm to 9am-8pm, allowing guests an early swim. It also introduced changes to check-in times to ease congestion, with guests receiving a pre-arrival email confirming when they can access their lodge, although they can still enter the park from 10am on arrival day.
Earlier this year, Center Parcs announced it was scrapping its paid-for creche service from May 2026, which had offered childcare for children aged three months to three years. At the time, Center Parcs told the Mirror: "At Center Parcs, we're always looking to review and evolve the guest experience. We have made the decision to remove the crèche activity from our breaks, to reflect guest feedback and limited demand for this particular activity."
Center Parcs has also broken ground on its new Scottish location, which will have 700 lodges and apartments, a subtropical swimming centre, a village centre, and an Aqua Sana spa. Center Parcs has been contacted for comment.
