A car saleswoman has advised motorists to leave some family members at home when shopping for a new vehicle. The recommendation was shared on TikTok by @ashxautos, a US-based saleswoman who posts advice for drivers.
In a video titled 'Don't bring more than one family member to the dealership', Ash told her 44,000 followers: "I'm gonna hold your hand when I say this. Your family is literally ruining your car shopping experience." She explained that conflicting advice from relatives can confuse buyers, despite good intentions.
Ash highlighted examples such as a father who would never lease a car, an uncle recommending a cheap cash purchase, and a mother suggesting a different brand. She stressed that car buying advice is not one-size-fits-all and urged viewers to do their own research and make independent financial decisions.
The video received thousands of likes and mixed comments. Some agreed, with one user saying they learned 'the hard way', while others defended bringing family, noting that helpful relatives can assist in the process. Another commenter noted that a large group can indicate all decision-makers are present.
