B&M and Other Retailers Confirm Easter Sunday Store Closures for 2026

B&M, Home Bargains, Primark, and other major retailers have announced that their stores in England and Wales will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, in line with legal requirements. The Easter weekend runs from Friday, April 3, to Monday, April 6, and includes two bank holidays.

Under laws in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, large shops over 280 square metres must close on Easter Sunday. This applies to B&M, Home Bargains, The Range, Dunelm, and Primark, all of which have confirmed closures. However, stores in Scotland will remain open as the law does not apply there.

On Good Friday and Easter Monday, most stores will operate with normal or reduced hours. B&M typically opens from 8am to 7pm or 9am to 7pm, while Home Bargains and others often open from 9am to 6pm or 7pm. Shoppers are advised to check individual store websites for exact times.

Online shopping remains available on Easter Sunday for most retailers except B&M, which does not offer online ordering. Home Bargains, The Range, Dunelm, and Primark allow customers to place orders for delivery or collection.

Supermarkets including Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Aldi, and Lidl will also close larger stores on Easter Sunday, though smaller branches like Tesco Express and Asda Express may stay open.
