Asda has introduced a major new offer for loyal customers, expanding its Rewards app to include fuel for the first time. Shoppers who spend £40 or more in a single in-store transaction will receive a coupon for 5p off every litre of fuel. The promotion runs until July 31, and the coupon can be used for one fuel transaction until August 7.
How the Fuel Discount Works
Customers automatically receive the coupon in their Rewards app after completing an eligible purchase. They can redeem it by scanning their Rewards barcode and fuel coupon at the pump or kiosk at any of the 321 Asda supermarkets and Express sites that sell Asda-branded fuel.
According to Asda, a motorist filling a 60-litre family car could save up to £3 through the promotion. This marks the first time Asda has extended its Rewards programme to fuel purchases.

The offer comes as Asda continues its turnaround strategy to rebuild sales momentum. The supermarket reported a 0.8% increase in like-for-like sales during its first quarter, reversing some of the decline seen in the previous three-month period, when sales dropped by 4.2%, according to Retail Gazette. This deal is designed to encourage customer spending across Asda's wider estate.
