Asda has announced a major change to its delivery times over the next four weeks, extending hours for customers ordering through its rapid delivery partners. For the first time, shoppers can receive Asda groceries, drinks, and essentials as late as 11pm or midnight via Just Eat, Deliveroo, and Uber Eats.
World Cup Timing
The change coincides with the World Cup, where many matches start at 11pm or later for UK viewers due to the North American time difference. By extending delivery beyond the usual 10pm cut-off, Asda enables customers to order food and drink while waiting for kick-off.
Special Offers
Asda is launching several offers for England's first match. On Deliveroo, shoppers can get soft drinks deals and two for £10 on Exceptional by Asda pizzas and beer. Just Eat offers 50% off breakfast items for recovery after late nights and 50% off matchday favourites like snacks, soft drinks, and pizzas. Uber Eats customers can access up to 40% off a wide range of products during group stages and knockout rounds, including crisps, frozen party food, ice cream, cupcakes, soft drinks, and paper plates.
Other Supermarket Offers
Morrisons is giving customers a free drink from its cafés when wearing a football shirt for their nation. Marks & Spencer offers a free pack of World Cup stickers with every £20 spend, though TV presenter Fern Britton noted a shortage of sticker albums. An M&S spokesperson said albums are selling quickly despite higher stock than previous years, but a strong supply of stickers remains.
