Other treadmill deals and shopper reviews

Amazon has also reduced the Superun Raceable Incline Walking Pad from £119.99 to £89.99, with a 10 per cent incline suitable for hill climbing. The Opti Motorised Folding Treadmill with Incline has been reduced on the Argos website from £449 to £314.40.

Argos reviews for the Opti treadmill include one shopper who said: "Bought as part of working from home and to get steps in. Great purchase so far and easy set up." A second review read: "Affordable treadmill. Easy to set up. Easy to use and a lot of programmes." A third fan said: "I bought this a few weeks ago and I am loving it. Very easy to assemble. Very sturdy and well packaged and made." A fourth shopper added: "Works really well and then folds away afterwards."

Not all reviews were positive, with one describing the product as "too heavy". The review read: "This item was way too heavy for me to put together. I did not know that if I cut the packaging with the treadmill facing the wrong way then the handles would spring up and it was too hard to move this into the correct position. It would have been too heavy for me to fold up alone. I unfortunately had to return which is a shame as it looked nice but too big and heavy. I bought something elsewhere cheaper and smaller."

The Argos treadmill is available for a reduced price of £314.40.
