Aldi is set to release a new range of women's boots that bear a strong resemblance to a leading outdoor brand's design, at less than a third of the price. The supermarket has confirmed its latest Special Buys will launch on Thursday, October 22, in stores across the country.
The Warm-Lined Neoprene Boots from Crane will be available in black, in sizes 4 to 12, for £24.99. Aldi describes the boots as waterproof, claiming they will "keep feet warm, dry and comfortable whatever the weather". The footwear features a rubber mix exterior paired with a "warm textile lining" inside.
Comparison with Hunter's £79.99 boots
Shoppers looking for a budget-friendly alternative may find the Aldi boots similar in appearance to Hunter's Sherpa Webbing Boots, priced at £79.99 via Amazon. The Hunter version is described online as having a "textile and synthetic upper", "textile lining and insole", a "pull-on style closure with stretchable material", "pull tabs for added comfort", a "round toe silhouette", and a "synthetic outsole".
Both boots feature a similar fleece lining, though the Aldi version comes in black, while the Hunter boots and fur are in contrasting colours.
Other items in the October 22 sale
Alongside the boots, Aldi's October 22 Special Buys will include a mixed selection of middle-aisle items. Shoppers can expect the latest toy event, featuring character and leading-brand toys such as Bluey, LEGO, and various trending squishies starting from £1.99, as well as seasonal outdoor gear and household items.
The sale will also include more outdoor wear and accessories for men, women, children, and pets. As with all Specialbuys, these items are available in-store only while stocks last.
