Aldi is set to open seven stores across England throughout November, including two new locations in London, with up to 30 roles available at each site. The openings form part of Aldi’s £370m investment in its UK estate this year, as it works towards its long-term ambition of operating 1,500 stores nationwide.
Investment and Growth Plans
The move follows Aldi’s annual trading update earlier this month, in which it unveiled plans for further store investment, continued price cuts and more long-term agreements with British suppliers.
Jonathan Neale, managing director of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, said: “Demand for new Aldi stores remains strong, and we want more shoppers to be able to enjoy our high-quality products at low prices.”
Store Openings and Job Creation
“Opening seven stores in November is another big step in our growth plans. It will create hundreds of local jobs and bring Aldi’s value to thousands more shoppers across the country,” Neale added.
The Aldi stores opening in November are:
- Basildon, Essex – 12 November
- Newport, Isle of Wight – 19 November
- Matlock, Derbyshire – 19 November
- Stepney Green, London – 19 November
- Willesden, London – 26 November
- Orrell, Wigan – 26 November
- Waterlooville, Hampshire – 26 November
Each new store will create up to 30 jobs, contributing to hundreds of local roles across the country as Aldi continues its expansion.
