Features and Design
The earbuds feature Active Noise Cancellation to reduce surrounding noise, alongside Adaptive Audio and Transparency mode. This means they can adjust the listening experience depending on surroundings, whether shoppers are commuting, working, exercising or simply listening at home.
The AirPods have been given a refreshed design, with a refined contour, shorter stem and quick press controls for managing music and calls. Conversation Awareness is another useful feature, automatically lowering the volume of whatever people are listening to when they start speaking to someone nearby.
Voice Isolation is designed to improve call quality, while Personalised Spatial Audio creates a more immersive listening experience. The AirPods also offer Siri integration, allowing users to say 'Siri' or 'Hey Siri' to play music, make calls or check their schedule.

Battery life is up to four hours with Active Noise Cancellation enabled, with up to 20 hours available when using the charging case. With Active Noise Cancellation switched off, total listening time increases to up to 30 hours.
Another option on the market are the Soundcore 2026 New P42i by Anker buds for £64.98, down from £79.99, on Amazon. These come in a variety of colours and have Active Noise Cancellation, too. Over on Currys, there are the Beats Solo Buds Earbuds in the colour storm grey for £59, down from £79. They offer up to 18 hours of battery life, have microphone, volume and playback controls, and Beats' custom-made sound system.
