Acer Swift Laptops Rival Apple With £300 Off

Acer has unveiled a new generation of its Swift laptop lineup, the Swift Spin 14 AI, which the company claims are the 'fastest, most intelligent Windows PCs ever'. Powered by Snapdragon's X2 Series processor, the devices are said to rival Apple's Silicon chips in performance and AI support.

Ahead of the July launch, Acer is offering discounts of £200 to £300 across its existing Swift range. The biggest saving is on the Swift Go 16 AI, reduced from £1,299.99 to £999.99. This model features a 16-inch 2K OLED display, Intel Core Ultra processor, 1TB storage, 32GB memory, and a 25.5-hour battery life.

The Swift Go 16 AI also includes Copilot+ AI features, Bluetooth 5.4, DTS:X Ultra, HDMI 2.1, facial recognition, and a fingerprint reader. Acer says it is 'the most secure Windows PC' due to hardware-based security layers.

Other deals include the Swift Go 14 AI at £1,199.99 (was £1,399.99), saving £200. For Apple fans, Sky Mobile offers the 15-inch MacBook Air M5 from £28 per month with a 48-month contract and £12 upfront.

PC Mag praised the Swift Go 16's OLED display and connectivity but noted subpar battery life. The experts said: 'The Swift Go 16 delivers an excellent display for all kinds of work... the price makes it an attractive option.'
