Accessorize is set to open a brand new store in the heart of Newcastle city centre, taking over the former Monkii premises in Eldon Square. Billboards have gone up outside the unit, signalling that the new store is 'coming soon'.
New Location in Prime Spot
The new Accessorize store will be located in a prime position just across from the large Next store, in the same area as other popular brands including H&M, Hollister, Oliver Bonas and River Island. Accessorize has had several different bases in Eldon Square over the years.
Monkii, the previous occupant of the unit, shut down for good in January 2025. In the meantime, the existing Accessorize unit in Douglas Way, Eldon Square, remains open for business.
Nearby Changes in Eldon Square
The part of Eldon Square where Accessorize is moving will soon see another change, as the former Starbucks at the top of the escalators becomes rival coffee chain Costa's third branch in the shopping centre. It will join the Costa further up the mall opposite Millie's Cookies and the one downstairs next to the bus station.
As reported by ChronicleLive last week, the new Costa is due to open in November, with customers able to enjoy Costa Coffee's Christmas menu, including the new Golden Hazel Latte with Ferrero Rocher, alongside seasonal food, gifts and returning festive favourites.
