Lanfine Limited, trading as The Honesty Works, has entered administration. The company, which specialises in curtains and cushions, was incorporated in 2019, according to Companies House.
Businesses typically enter administration when they are struggling financially. An insolvency practitioner takes control of their affairs, business and property to help turn things around.
According to a notice in the London Gazette, Lanfine Limited entered administration on July 10, 2026. It operates from the town of Darvel in Scotland.
Company background
The business specialises in the design, printing, and stitching of curtains and cushions in its Scottish factory. It champions its "focus on craftsmanship and attention to detail", saying its specialist craftspeople "create high-quality, luxury products that bring timeless elegance to your home".
"By producing in small batches and making-to-order items, we reduce waste and ensure that every piece we make is truly special," its website reads. "Our direct-to-consumer approach allows us to deliver exceptional quality at the best possible price, so you can enjoy beautiful, handmade home furnishings without compromise."
The company has over 50 years of experience and was originally established in the 1920s, with an emphasis on local manufacturing.
Current status
The Honesty Works' social media accounts are still active. Its last post on Facebook was shared in December 2025. No cushions or curtains are currently listed for sale on the store's website.
A notice at the top of the website reads: "I write to inform you that Michelle Elliot and Callum Carmichael of FRP Advisory Trading Limited were appointed Joint Administrators of the Company on 10 July 2026."
The company is one of several UK furnishing businesses to face financial hardship recently. In May, Barretts of Woodbridge collapsed into administration after 57 years. Airsprung, which makes mattresses and beds, also entered administration on May 1, 2026, after 150 years in business.
