McDonald's First-Ever Sauce Shop Opens in Manchester for Two Days
McDonald's First-Ever Sauce Shop Opens in Manchester

McDonald's is launching its first-ever Sauce Shop in Manchester, a pop-up dedicated entirely to its iconic dips and new summer flavours. The two-day event will take place on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26 at Black Milk on Oldham Street in the Northern Quarter.

What to Expect at the Sauce Shop

The Sauce Shop will feature a bespoke floor-to-ceiling sauce wall stocked with favourites like Sweet 'n' Sour, Sweet Curry, and Barbecue, alongside new summer menu additions including Hot Honey, Ranch, and Korean BBQ. Visitors can also create a limited-edition personalised sauce pot at a customisation station, adding a nickname or phrase.

Free Food and Photo Opportunities

The first 100 customers each day will receive a voucher for a free portion of three Chicken Selects, redeemable at nearby McDonald's locations at Piccadilly Gardens, the Arndale, or St Ann's Square. A live printing photo booth will allow guests to snap pictures in front of the dip wall.

Controversy Over Recent Changes

The announcement follows McDonald's decision to restrict Wrap of the Day orders to the app only from July 14, sparking backlash from fans. Social media reactions to the new Hot Honey menu items have been mixed, with some questioning the flavour and others expressing enthusiasm. According to a spokesperson, the pop-up aims to celebrate the brand's sauces amid evolving menu preferences.

The Sauce Shop will be open Saturday from 1pm to 6pm and Sunday from 12pm to 6pm at Black Milk, 88 Oldham St, Manchester, M4 1LF.
