Gatwick Airport £100 Fine If Midnight Deadline Missed for Drop-Off Payments
Gatwick Airport £100 Fine for Late Drop-Off Payments

London Gatwick Airport has issued a reminder to passengers about the 14-day limit for paying drop-off charges, warning that failure to pay by midnight the day after their visit could result in a £100 fine. The fine is reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days.

Payment Deadline and Penalties

The airport states that motorists using designated drop-off zones must pay the required fee by midnight the day after their visit. Those who miss this deadline face a Parking Charge Notice of £100, which is reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days.

To avoid the fee, the airport advises: "Payments should be made after you exit the drop-off zone in order for your vehicle to be recognised by the Automatic Number Plate Recognition systems and for the correct fee to be calculated for your drop-off session. AutoPay accounts should be set up before you enter the drop-off zone in order for your account to be debited."
