Dunelm has slashed the price of its Traditional Patchwork Chenille Stair Runner from £199 to £49.75, and shoppers are snapping it up. One happy buyer said it has given their stairs a 'new lease of life'.

Care instructions
Dunelm recommends allowing the runner to settle for 24 hours after unrolling, vacuuming regularly without a beater brush, and blotting spills immediately with a damp white cloth. Rotating the rug every few months and using an anti-slip underlay can extend its lifespan and improve safety.

However, one customer noted: 'It is very pretty, the patterns, colours and textures are great. But the carpet is very thin. We used a gripper and underlay and the pins from the standard gripper are coming through. We are at a loss as to what to do. Really disappointed as it's so pretty.'
