Dub Custom Cars Limited, a vehicle customisation and repair specialist based in Essex, has collapsed into liquidation, dealing another blow to the struggling UK car industry. Liquidators were appointed on June 30, 2026, according to the London Gazette.

The news was published in the London Gazette on July 3, 2026. At this early stage, it remains unclear what impact the development will have on potential job losses. Martin Weller and Glyn Mummery of FRP Advisory Trading Limited have been appointed as the company's liquidators, according to the Gazette.
Companies House records show the business was originally incorporated in October 2014. Liquidators are typically brought in to wind up a company, with their primary responsibility being to take control of the business and dispose of its assets.

The car brand, trading under the name Dub Customs, claimed to be involved in "creating automotive artistry" through its high-quality craftsmanship. However, Dub Customs' true expertise lies in vinyl wrap application, which they have previously described as where the "foundation of our skills lay". They have also emphasised that their know-how and extensive experience of wrapping the world's top models should give customers "peace of mind". The company also prides itself on using class-leading vinyls that come with extensive warranties starting from five years.
Performance Upgrades and Prestige Cars
Alongside enhancing the look of vehicles, the firm offers a variety of upgrades, including switchable exhaust systems, bespoke engine modifications and aerodynamic improvements. The business claims that through their engineering expertise, it is possible to fit any performance or cosmetic upgrade. Pictures from the company's website reveal that the brand has worked on a host of prestigious supercars, including Aston Martins, Porsches and Maseratis.
