Maisie Isabella documented her auction purchases on Instagram, revealing she bought a Japanese-style painting for £15, while her mother acquired 11 paintings and four console tables for £50 each, which are by an Italian designer and 'really, really expensive'.
She also spotted a lamp worth £1,500 that sold for only £90, and other items like mirrors, sideboards, vases, and cabinets fetched varying prices, with some lamps going for over £600.

Maisie cautioned others to be aware of a 44% tax charge plus a lift-out fee on each item. Her video attracted over 9,000 likes, with viewers expressing surprise and excitement.
The auctions, managed by Pro Auction Limited, offered more than 2,000 lots of luxury furniture, hospitality-grade beds, and fine art, including pieces from the hotel's famous 'Personality Suites' that once hosted Winston Churchill, Marilyn Monroe, and Frank Sinatra.
Refurbishment Details
The renovation, which began in August 2024 and will continue in phases until 2027, includes restoring original fireplaces, plaster cornices, and 50 historic chandeliers, while adding modern amenities like wireless charging stations, colour-changing mirrors, Dyson hairdryers, and yoga mats.
