New research has revealed that residents in North Lanarkshire have the eighth-most disposable income in the UK. The median annual pay for North Lanarkshire residents is £34,105, while the average house price is £150,599. The average rent in the area is £9,708 per year and the average mortgage repayment is £649 per month.

"That's important because buyers aren't just budgeting for a mortgage anymore.
"They're also considering transport, food shopping and other regular expenses before deciding where to move."
