Fabrizio Romano claims that Villa made enquiries about Garnacho during those transfer negotiations for Rogers, yet the player has no desire to join the Europa League champions. It's claimed that Garnacho would favour a switch to Serie A outfit AS Roma and has made them his preference, having struggled to make his mark since departing United for Chelsea.
The Argentinian winger made 43 appearances across all competitions for the Blues last season, netting eight goals and contributing four assists for his teammates. Roma are reportedly interested in a loan arrangement with an option to buy the 22-year-old permanently, with United monitoring the situation closely. It's claimed Chelsea would be willing to sell Garnacho if bids in the region of £42.5m arrive.

Garnacho rejecting any chance of Chelsea striking a swap-plus-cash offer for Rogers is good news for United, as they could've faced missing out on millions had he agreed to it.
