Manchester City have officially announced the signing of midfielder Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest in a deal worth £116million, making the 23-year-old the most expensive acquisition in the club's history.
Record-Breaking Transfer Fee
The Blues paid a straight fee of £116million to secure Anderson's services, surpassing their previous club record. The England international, who is currently at the World Cup with the Three Lions, will join his new teammates after the tournament concludes.
Debut Timeline and Pre-Season Plans
Anderson is expected to be granted a four-week rest period following the World Cup before linking up with City. He is unlikely to participate in the club's summer tour of Asia, which begins with a match against Inter Milan on August 1. His potential debut could come in the Community Shield against Arsenal on Sunday, August 16.
