A couple in the UK has revealed how they spent five years living in near-total darkness after a neighbour's towering cypress tree blocked all sunlight from entering their home.
The pair, who have chosen to remain anonymous, described their ordeal as "like living in a cave," with their garden and living spaces plunged into perpetual shade.
The root of the problem
What began as a minor nuisance grew into a major issue when the fast-growing Leyland cypress reached over 30 feet tall, completely overshadowing their property. "We went from having a sunny garden to living in what felt like permanent twilight," the husband explained.
