Essex-based Breyer Holdings Limited has entered administration after more than 70 years in business. The family-owned construction firm appointed joint administrators on August 3, according to an official notice in the public record.
Dominik Thiel-Czerwinke and Jamie Taylor of BTG Begbies Traynor have been appointed to oversee the administration. The company, based in Harold Hill, Romford, was founded by Fred Breyer in 1956 and has become a "leading property services provider in the South and South East."
Three divisions and 285 employees
Breyer operates through three divisions – Breyer Roofing, Breyer Repar and Breyer Renew – delivering services including roofing, responsive repairs, maintenance and refurbishment, EssexLive reports. Google currently shows the business as "permanently closed."
Accounts filed in 2024 showed the group employed 285 people.

On its LinkedIn page, the Breyer Group describes itself as "one of the leading property services providers in the South and South East, with over 60 years of experience within the public sector."
"Our specialist roofing, responsive repair and refurbishment teams deliver award-winning services through innovative, sustainable, socially-conscious and environmentally-sensitive solutions," the company stated.
It added: "Breyer is also one of the only companies of its kind to have attained B Corp status. This prestigious award demonstrates our significant commitment to meeting the highest standards of social and environmental impact."
The company also highlighted its ISO9001:2015 and ISO45001:2018 accreditations, community investment programmes, and support for good causes through the Breyer Foundation.
