Tesco has announced a major change to its online grocery booking rules, doubling the advance booking window from four to eight weeks for all shoppers. The move, timed ahead of the summer holidays, aims to help customers plan parties, staycations, and group gatherings.
Extended Booking Window
Priority slots will be released from July 14, followed by general slots from July 21. This gives customers an eight-week view of Home Delivery and Click+Collect slots, covering bank holidays in August. Previously, only a four-week view was available.
Same-Day and Quick Delivery Options
Tesco is also offering same-day Home Delivery and Click+Collect at no extra cost from selected stores until September 6. For last-minute needs, the Whoosh service can deliver in as little as 20 minutes, ideal for summer sporting events. Additional Click+Collect slots are available near popular UK holiday destinations.
Rob Graham, Tesco Online Director, said: "Summer can be one of the busiest times of the year... We want to make it easier for customers to get organised and plan ahead. That's why we're opening up eight weeks of Home Delivery and Click+Collect slots over the summer; giving customers more flexibility to book a time that works best for them to get what they need."
