Simba Summer Hybrid Duvet on sale: I slept with it to keep cool

The Simba Summer Hybrid Duvet is currently discounted to £109.65 from £129, offering a lightweight 4.5-tog fill for summer nights or hot sleepers. The mattress brand is running a sale event until July 28, with up to 20% off across its sleep range, including Hybrid mattresses, pillows, and duvets with cool-touch technology.

What we love and don't love

What we love: instant cool touch on the underside, lightweight and non-clumping, a down-like filler made with recycled plastic bottle fibre. What we don't: cool-touch tech does not work with a duvet cover, easy to get stains.

The special webbing pattern offers a cool touch on the underside. The duvet is stitched into squares to prevent clumping and is machine washable at 40C.

Simba Summer Hybrid Duvet verdict

Since swapping to the Simba Summer Hybrid Duvet, I've had some of the most peaceful sleeps. It kept my body temperature cool, stopped me kicking off the covers, and doesn't weigh me down. The fresh cotton cover provides comfort, but there is a risk of stains on the pristine white fabric.

My brother tested it one night and said: "It's nice to sleep in it but after a few hours, I felt cold and had to grab a fleece throw instead."
