Liverpool's pursuit of 19-year-old Yan Diomande has intensified, with fresh details emerging about their reported bid for the Ivory Coast international. The teenager has attracted significant attention following his impressive performances at the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Liverpool's Bid for Diomande
According to sources at Liverpool.com, the Reds have made it clear to RB Leipzig that they are willing to complete a deal for around £87 million. TalkSPORT has provided specifics of the reported bid, claiming it comprises an upfront fee of approximately £69 million and add-ons worth £17.3 million. This differs from earlier reports that suggested a £78 million fee plus £8.6 million in add-ons.
However, Leipzig are holding out for a staggering £104 million, rejecting Liverpool's initial offer. The German club is under no pressure to sell, as Diomande's contract runs until 2028. Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has already begun his summer recruitment with the capture of Spanish international Victor Munoz, and more moves are expected to follow.
Other Transfer Rumors
Liverpool have also been linked with a host of other stars, including Ayyoub Bouaddi and a potential return for Darwin Nunez. The club remains active in the transfer market as they look to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.
