Self-serve bars arrive at Butlin's
Butlin's has introduced over 100 self-serve bars across its three resorts in Bognor Regis, Minehead, and Skegness, aiming to cut queuing time for holidaymakers. The technology, developed by Boxbars and backed by a £1 million investment, allows guests to pour a drink in as little as six seconds.
What's on offer?
The bars offer more than 20 options including branded beers, ciders, spirits, and cocktails. Choices include pints of Madri and Guinness, Smirnoff with mixers, and the brand's own Butlin's On The Beach cocktail (vodka, peach schnapps, cranberry juice, and orange juice), reported to be the most popular for All Inclusive guests.
Guests can use their All Inclusive wristband or contactless payment to dispense drinks. Traditional bars remain open for those who prefer ordering in person.
Background and additional news
Butlin's launched its all inclusive drink package in 2024, costing from £25.95 per adult per day, including alcoholic drinks from 11am and Costa coffee and soft drinks. Earlier this year, Butlin's also introduced bookable karaoke pods for groups of up to 12, costing £36.

Open in time for the school summer holidays, the bars are designed to reduce wait times and make it quicker and easier for guests to get a drink. This means less time queuing and more time enjoying their holiday with family and friends.”
