Based on in-store data, Aldi's calmest shopping windows during the summer holidays are generally before 10am and after 8pm on weekdays, with quieter spells later on Saturday evenings for weekend visitors.

Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: "We know the school holidays can be a busy and expensive time for families, so we want to make shopping as simple and affordable as possible. By visiting during quieter periods and making use of Aldi's everyday value, shoppers can save both time and money this summer."

Aldi confirmed it has invested more than £200 million into price reductions so far in 2026, enabling customers to save across fresh and frozen food, household essentials, and personal care items.

  • Super 6 fresh produce offers: Every fortnight, Aldi provides six fruit and veg items at bargain prices. Customers can stock up and freeze suitable items. Aldi's Fresh Guarantee ensures shoppers who are not completely satisfied can return fruit and veg for a full refund.
  • Red-sticker reductions: Bakery, meat and deli products approaching best-before dates frequently receive markdowns up to 75%. While timings vary by store, reductions are most likely later in the day.
  • Weekly offers: Aldi puts a special focus on fresh meat and fish each week, helping shoppers pick up quality ingredients at great value. Families can plan by checking Aldi's latest offers before heading in store.
